Course Offerings

Experience an enriching summer at Willows Preparatory School! Our summer program offers a diverse range of engaging activities and educational opportunities for students of all ages. From academic enrichment to arts and athletics, there’s something for everyone. Explore new interests, make lifelong friendships, and create unforgettable memories.

Join a group of other musicians in a small ensemble. Learn musicfrom every era from the classics, film score and current popularmusic. Chamber music offers the opportunity to take on moreresponsibility with your instrument such as duets, trios, quartets,and small orchestra works. Strings, winds, brass, percussion and guitars welcome!

In this class students will be learning about ecosystems andhow different organisms interact with each other to create abalanced ecosystem. This will be taught alongside a projectwhere students will be making closed system biomes that theydesign that are self sustainable.

Join WPS Thespians this summer for our Annual Summer Stock Production! In this Full Day, Two Week session, students will be cast, rehearse, and perform a One-Act Play or Musical (Title TBD based on enrollment). Students can sign up for CAST or CREW – all sign-ups are guaranteed a role. Family, Friends, and Community are invited to watch the final performance on the 2nd Friday of the session. Open to both WPS students and non-WPS students entering grades 6 and up (Recent HS graduates 18 or under may also join!). WPS students will earn Thespian Points towards their induction and honor stars.

Join us for an immersive two-week journey into the world of psychology. Through engaging lectures, discussions, and activities, students will explore key topics such as brain function, behavior, perception, and mental health. They’ll learn practical strategies for self-awareness and social interaction, all while developing critical thinking skills through hands-on experiments and real-life case studies. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper understanding of psychology and its relevance to their own lives.

In the Inspirit AI program, led by a team of Stanford and MIT mentors, students willlearn the fundamentals of AI in Python, and complete a mentor-led socially impactfulAI project. No programming or computer science experience is required and advancedcohorts are available.

Calling all young hoopsters! Dive into a week of basketball excitement at our summer camp. Our program is designed to introduce newcomers to the game while reinforcing core skills and values. Throughout the camp, campers will engage in a dynamic blend of skill-building exercises, friendly competitions, and team challenges. From perfecting dribbling techniques to mastering layups, every session is packed with opportunities for growth and improvement. Whether your child dreams of being the next NBA or WNBA star or simply wants to have fun and stay active, our basketball camp is the perfect place to start. In this class students will be learning about how objects move and the basics of physics through sports. There will be a field trip to a Mariners game*, and a project where students will design rockets. This is highly recommended for any student going into the PreDP or DP physics course. ($30 additional fee for Mariners Game)

SESSION: July 22-August 2 at 9:00AM-12:00PM

In this course students will be learning the basics of running and become more conditioned for the cross country season. This is highly recommended for those thinking about doing cross country or those doing cross country.

SCHEDULE:

  • Session 1: June 17-28 (Morning and Afternoon Sessions)
  • Session 2: July 8-19 (Morning and Afternoon Sessions)
  • Session 3: July 22-August 2 (Morning and Afternoon Sessions)
  • Session 4: August 5-16 (Morning Session ONLY)

Morning sessions run 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Afternoon sessions run 12:30 – 3:30 pm

Student(s) may only stay for the lunch break if they are registered for morning and afternoon sessions.

REGISTRATION:

Click the ‘REGISTER NOW’ button below to begin the process. Upon successful registration, Homeroom will dispatch an automatic confirmation to you. This is your registration verification. Please note, WPS does not send separate confirmations.

Please note that Summer @ WPS sessions may be subject to cancellation if less than five students are registered per session.

Here are a few tips for a smooth registration process:

  • Register your child based on their grade level for Fall 2024.
  • Cost depends on the particular class, please review each individually.
  • If you can’t locate your school in the dropdown menu, simply select “other”.
  • In case a class is full, feel free to add your child to the waitlist. We will promptly inform you if we happen to open additional classes.
  • You have the flexibility to make changes or cancellations on Homeroom within 30 days of the class start date.
  • If your child is registered for both an AM and PM class within one session, make sure they pack a home lunch.
